Australian Designee end of year message 2025

Dear Moo Duk Kwan scholars, WMDK Appointees, Instructors, REX, the Federation Committee, and newly awarded Dans in 2025.

As 2025 closes out, I’d encourage all of us to pause and thank everyone who has supported the Art in thought and in Action this year. From the white belts who took their first steps into our Do Jangs to the active Senior Dan members who provide guidance and perspective to our Art. All have played a role in creating and sustaining the Moo Duk Kwan here in Australia.

The Do Jang Owner/operators, Appointees and Federation officers are the invisible glue that provides a living structure, and their efforts are appreciated and noted.

This year, we celebrated our 80th Anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan. The event in Seoul, Korea, was well attended by Australia, with representatives from all regions. A special note of thanks to Fong Sa Bom (Region 1) for creating the Australian demonstration at the celebration. It was well received.

Also in 2025, we had several Dan Shim Sa across the nation. The dedicated work of not only the practitioners, but importantly, the teachers and the support from family and friends – all of whom are a key part of the Art. Thank you.

2026 is a blank canvas, a fresh opportunity to recalibrate and write a strong, positive page in our personal history books. Let’s all contribute and grow with the guidance shared by Kwan Jang Nim HC Hwang – the concept of Inside – Outside, to make a difference.

I wish all members and their loved ones a wonderful, safe Christmas holiday period, and looking forward to a strong start to 2026.

Kriton Glenn, Sa Bom, WMDK Australian Designee
