2024 in Australia started off with our first ever Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa event at Narrabeen in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. This was followed by SEALS and the celebration of our 20th year as an incorporated federation.
This event saw the presentation of results from Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa and Dan Shim Sa candidates from late 2023 with results presented by HC Hwang Kwan Jang Nim for promotions at Cho Dan (1st Dan) through Chil Dan (7th Dan).
Kim Wyles SBN was recognised for his significant contributions to World Moo Duk Kwan in two ways. First, he was named as the newly appointed Zone 1 World TAC Member, and secondly, members of the Australian leadership – the TAC, SAC, Designee and Hu Kyun In – recognised his embodiment of the Five Moo Do Values.
Also acknowledged during the events were the ongoing and essential contributions to the growth and health of the Moo Duk Kwan in Australia by Michael Austin SBN and Kriton Glenn SBN. Without a doubt none of us would be where we are today without their dedication to the art.
Finally, it is our pleasure to announce appointments made in 2024 to various leadership roles. We warmly welcome those new to their role, and those who are continuing in their roles.
