2020 New Year Greeting

To all Australian Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation members,

We have seen members sitting testings at the Korea Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.  The year also saw several members travel and train internationally strengthening connections worldwide.

The TAC facilitated the Australian National camp in Berry, with 55 members attending receiving instruction from the Ko Da Ja in Attendance. We would like to thank TAC, the Camp organising committee and the Instructors for the effort they have put in to host an amazing event that included opportunities for growth in the Youth Leadership program. The Australian National camp is set to become a feature with the next one planned for 2021.

The international Youth Leadership Symposium occurred in Korea during the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa providing new information to invigorate the program in Australia with the support of the TAC and the Australian Federation we look forward to this growing and ensure the future of our organisation. The TAC and Committee see this program as an opportunity for personal growth and development. Australia was proudly represented by Master Stephen LeHars.

World Moo Duk Kwan has announced the 75th-anniversary dates (26th-28th of October) with the Korea Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa immediately prior to this (20th to 26th October). This is a great opportunity to strengthen connects, to forge new connections or to reconnect with those you haven’t seen for a while.

World Moo Duk Kwan has also announced the “Heritage Program” with more information available from the seniors. This program is new and exciting opening more opportunities for our membership.

Please look at the 2020 dates of events held in your Do Jang, Region and across Australia and be part of sharing and growing the art. Communicate and connect with others on all levels and make 2020 a wonderful MDK year.

Yours in the Moo Duk Kwan
